ππ‘π πππ ππ₯ Manπππ‘ππ§, An Academic association of students organised a Guest Lecture (Virtual) on the topic: “Illusory Promises of the Doctrine of Basic Structure” at 10:00 am on 2nd April 2022 by Dr. Ayaz Ahmad, Associate Professor, Karnavati University.
It was a very informative and enlightening lecture for the students as the speaker took the students to a journey from Shankari Prasad to Keshwananda Bharati Judgments and various legal issues involving Amendment of the Constitution of India. The speaker also discussed the Parliamentβs power of Amendment under Article 368 of the Constitution of India. Further, emphasis was given on the contradictions between the Judiciary and Parliamentary powers.
