On the 22ndof August, 2019 the Faculty of law organized a talk on ‘Alternative Dispute Resolution in India: Emerging Trends’ by Mr. P.K. Malhotra, Former Secretary, Ministry of Law and Justice.
Students had a very fruitful and meaningful interaction with him. Mr. Malhotra discussed how litigation would be gradually replaced by Alternative Dispute Resolution mechanisms such as Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration in the coming years.
He also reiterated that this change would reduce the backlog of cases in Courts. Mr. Malhotra also motivated the students to build their career in the field of ADR.
