The conference began with Welcome Address by Prof. Manjula Batra, Dean Faculty of Law, SGT University. She briefed about the topic academic leadership, freedom and research ethics in law and social sciences and welcomed all the dignitaries and Malaysian delegates on behalf of SGT University. Eminent academicians namely Chief Guest Prof. Upendra Baxi, Former Vice Chancellor of Delhi University.Prof. Ravindra K Jain, Former Dean, School of Social Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.Prof. Datuk Dr. Teo KokSeong, Institute of Ethics Studies (KITA), National University of Malaysia (UKM).Mr. K.C Mittal, Chairman Delhi Bar Council of India and Senior Advocate in Supreme Court, Dr Sity Daud, Associate Professor, Centre for History, Politics and International Affairs, Faculty of Social and Humanities, National University of Malaysia.Prof. Binod Khadria, Former Professor of Economics and Education and Zakir Hussain Centre for Educational Studies, (School of Social Sciences, JNU, New Delhi)and Prof. VK Ahuja, Professor- in -Charge Law Centre -II (Faculty of Law, University of Delhi) participated in the said Colloquium. There was a panel discussion on Research Ethics in Higher Education by the invited academicians from India and Malaysia. Therewere three parallel sessions in which the delegates from India and Malaysia presented their research papers.
