Faculty of Law organized a talk on ‘Comparison between Malaysian and Indian Constitutional Rights in the Context of Minorities’ On 24th of September, 2019, by Prof. Datuk Denison Jayasooria, Principal Research Fellow, Institute of Ethnic Studies, National University of Malaysia. The session took a comparative approach to analyze the differences and similarities between the constitutional protection granted to the minorities in Malaysia and India. He also focused on socio-economic reasons for income disparity, historical foundations of discrimination as well as the current scenario under the new government. It was an interactive as well as fruitful session for the students.
