Workshop on Emerging Trends

On 19th and 20th of December, 2019, Faculty of Law, SGT University organized a two-day Workshop on ‘Emerging Trends on Constitutional Law, Environmental Law, Criminal Law, Women & Law, Intellectual property Rights, Family law and International Trade Law.’ Various research scholars, students and faculty members of SGT University as well from other Universities participated in it. On the 1st day of the workshop Prof B.T. Kaul, former Professor of Faculty of Law, Delhi University gave a lecture on changing approach in Criminal Law where he discussed the recent amendments in the Criminal Legislations. Then Dr. Alka Chawla, Associate Professor, Campus Law Centre, Delhi University gave a lecture on the emerging trends in the field of Intellectual Property Rights. Finally, the day was concluded with the lecture on International Trade Law by Dr. Deepa Kharb, Assistant Professor, Indian Law Institute, New Delhi. She discussed the GATT Regulations 1947, the emergence of WTO, TRIPS Agreement, Anti Dumping as protectionary measures. It was indeed a motivating and encouraging session for all the participants.  Prof. A.P.Singh, Dean, School of Legal Studies, IP University delivered  his lecture on the latest trends in environmental law. Prof.Dr.Manjula Batra. Dean, Faculty of Law, SGT University spoke on the changing dynamics of women and law. Prof. Neeru Nakra from VIPS  delivered her lecture on the Latest trends in Family Law.
