The Library and Information Centre of SGT University, Gurugram organized a Training and Workshop on SCC Online on March 23, 2023 for the students of Faculty of Law from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM at the Seminar Hall, Faculty of Law under the esteemed guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Viney Kapoor Mehra, Pro Vice Chancellor, SGT University, Gurugram. The event aimed to provide students with practical knowledge and hands-on experience on using SCC Online, a legal research platform for case law, legislation, and journal articles.
Mr. Chetan Gill and Mr. Rajan Raina, legal research experts and speakers from SCC Online highlighted the importance of legal research in the field of law, the role of SCC Online in facilitating legal research and explained the various features and tools available on the SCC Online platform, such as the search bar, filters, and citation tools. The speakers further demonstrated how to use the platform for conducting case law research, how to use the search bar to find cases related to a particular topic, how to apply filters to narrow down search results, and how to use the citation tool to find other cases that have cited a particular case and have also explained how to use the platform for legislative research and journal article research. The participants were given hands-on experience on using SCC Online and the workshop concluded with a Q&A session, where the participants asked various questions related to legal research and SCC Online. The speakers provided satisfactory answers to all the questions asked and encouraged the participants to use SCC Online for their research work.
